What Does an Electrical Engineer Do?

An electrical engineer works in designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems and components. This can include everything from power distribution and electronics to communication systems and control systems. Electrical engineers can be involved in everything from large-scale power grids to microchips and embedded systems in households.

Study Electrical Engineering

The education to become an electrical engineer is usually a master's degree that lasts for about five years. There are also shorter university degree programs that last for about three years.
