What Does an Environmental Engineer Do?

An environmentalengineer works to develop and implement technical solutions to reduce environmental impact and promote sustainability. This may include water purification, waste management, energy efficiency and qualitycontrol. Environmental engineers also analyze and evaluate the environmental impact of various induced processes and operations.  

Study Environmental Engineer

The environmental engineering programme is usually a master's degree in engineering that lasts for about five years. There are also shorter university degree programs that last for about three years.
